JWG9 was a joint working group of IEC TC3 and ISO TC184/SC4 for electrical and electronic applications of ISO 10303. It's scope was to develop resource models and application protocols using STEP methodologies taking into account documented efforts such as EDIF, IGES, SET and VNS.

Actually the group maintains and further develops the standards:

• ISO 10303-210 'Electronic assembly interconnect and packing design'
• ISO 10303-212 'Electrotechnical design and installation'

and the preliminary new work item

• ISO 10303-220 'Process planning, manufacture, and assembly of layered electronic products'
