The Oil and Gas (ISO 15926) : Integration of life-cycle data for oil and gas production facilities (Oil & Gas). This initiative includes standardization of the data associated with the engineering construction and operation of oil and gas production facilities.

The scope of activities to be supported by this standard includes:

• conceptual process design
• conceptual engineering design
• detailed process design
• detailed engineering design
• fabrication and construction; and
• operations and maintenance

The Oil and Gas Parts standard is a mulitpart standard with the following parts:

1. Part 1: Overview and fundamental principles
2. Part 2: Data model
3. Part 3: Methodology for the creation of reference data libraries
4. Part 4: Reference data
5. Part 5: Precedures for registration and maintenance of reference data.
6. Part 6: Scope and representation for additional reference data.
7. Part 7: Templates (Developers Area).
