ISO 18876 "IIDEAS" is an International Standard developed within ISO TC184, SC4 Industrial data, WG10 Technical architecture. ISO 18876 is designed to satisfy the following high level requirements:

• sharing and integration of data from multiple, heterogeneous sources;
• interoperability between applications and organizations that implement different standards.

This page provides access to working drafts and other documents related to ISO 18876 and its development, and is also used to publish the results of the work of the SC4 Data Architecture Preliminary Work Item.

The first edition of ISO 18876 Parts 1 & 2 were published by ISO as Technical Specifications in November 2003

• Part 1: Architecture overview and description;
• Part 2: Integration and mapping methodology.

Part 1 provides a general description of the architecture, its components, and its intended use. Part 2 describes the integration and mapping methodology component of the architecture. This description is independent of both modelling language and the details of the integration model used.
