Examples

This annex presents a number of worked examples that illustrate the methodology defined by this part of ISO 18876. The examples here are drawn from a number of different domains and are primarily intended to illustrate the application of the methodology of ISO 18876 to model defined in EXPRESS (ISO 10303-11) and mapping specifications defined in EXPRESS-X (ISO 10303-14).

The examples documented in this annex are as follows:

• Creating an integration model from two simple application models
• Mapping the same two simple application models to an existing integration model (ISO 15926-2)
• Mapping an ISO 10303 application module to ISO 15926-2
• Creating a template for managing application-specific data with respect to ISO 15926-2
• Integrating overlapping parts of the Industry Foundation Classes defined by the International Alliance for Interoperability (IAI) and ISO 10303-225
