The position of applications within the IIDEAS architecture is yet to be considered in detail. It is assumed that an application operates in terms of an application model, which can be integrated with the models of other applications by mapping to an integration model. Applications can then interoperate via implementations of one or more of the services to be defined for IIDEAS.
